The Alabama Museum of Natural History is located in historic Smith Hall adjacent to the Quadrangle on the University of Alabama campus. The museum houses exhibits of natural history, ethnology, geology and mineralogy. The Grand Gallery contains displays of fossils, rocks and minerals from the Coal Age, Ice Age and Dinosaur Age. Traveling exhibitions are featured regularly in the changing exhibits gallery. Visitors can also view the Hodges Meteorite, the only meteorite known to have struck a human being.

HOURS: 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM Tuesday through Saturday. Closed on university holidays.

ADMISSION: $2.00 adults, $1.00 children and seniors.
