The original 2-story Mid-Victorian house was built c.1845 with a detached kitchen and walkway. In 1910, this original structure was encased within a brick Classic Revival imitation of a Southern Colonial design. Four 2-story carved wood Roman Corinthian columns draw special attention to the wide veranda in front. The interior of the Mansion displays many attractions of note: leaded glass windows, ten fireplaces, mahogany inlaid oak floors, maple inlaid floors, 12 foot ceilings, walnut paneling, "tiger oak" paneling and floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining room. The Mansion is set back from the street and is surrounded by a lovely garden with statuesque old oak and pecan trees.
Relax in fron of a cozy fireplace in your room that is decorated with splendid antiques. Read a book, or sip wine and socialize in the pleasant restfulness of the parlor.
