Into The Woods

Hephzibah, Georgia
There is a quiet spot in the rolling hills of northern Burke County where spring is announced with flaming azaleas and dogwood blossoms covering the woodlands like snowflakes. The fragrance of honeysuckle and the allure of magnolia blossoms impart the essence of the true South. Summer evenings linger, inviting the visitor to stroll along a country road listening to the cooing of doves or the haunting cry of the Whippoorwill. Lovely fall and winter seasons are far more alive in Burke County than in many other parts of the country. The days are crisp and clear, the nights mild and inviting. You are invited for a night, weekend, or as long as you want to stay at our quiet woodland retreat.

Into the Woods reflects the peaceful pace of the late 1800's when this home was built. Relocated from Waynesboro, the house was completely refurbished and furnished with antiques to capture the splendor and the aura of years gone by. Your coming awards you the unique privilege to acquire many of these antiques at special prices.

Step inside the Victorian parlor so timely and comfortably appointed, or step outside on one of our porches, pull up a rocker and have a delicious cookie from our kitchen. A cup of coffee and a few minutes of serenity will drain away the tensions of today's hectic pace. Stretch out in your guest room and lose yourself in the quiet of our setting. You will sleep soundly on good firm beds, featured in all of our rooms. Two guest rooms have full private baths.

Your wake-up call will be provided by Mother Nature as the birds fill the morning with song. Enjoy a full country breakfast served in the sunny dining area. A short drive and one can walk Augusta's lovely Riverwalk along the old Savannah where the restaurant of your choice and delightful shops await you.
