Atop beautiful Cumberland Mountain, near the Stone Door and close to
the Lone Rock Coke Ovens, the Woodlee House is centrally located for
access to many of Middle Tennessee's most scenic areas. The house,
listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was built in three
stages. The oldest part, a pre-Civil War log cabin, is now the living
room. The guest rooms are located in the 2-story section, added at the
turn of the century. Modern amenities include central heat and air
conditioning for your year-round comfort. The home is furnished with
antiques and features the owner's collections of books, quilts,
coverlets, flow blue china, Quimper and miniature houses. A full
breakfast is served each morning.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-40 west from Chattanooga and exit at Monteagle. Follow Rt 56 north through Tracy City and Coalmont to Altamont. The inn is across the street from the Grundy County Courthouse.
