Welcome to Jackson


Jackson is located on I-40 half way between Graceland and Opryland. Jackson is a year-round business community and recreation area, fast becoming one of the most popular destinations in West Tennessee. Numerous area festivals and celebrations occur throughout the year. The area is rich in history and famous names of the past, including legendary John Luther "Casey" Jones. The Casey Jones home is now a museum in the heart of Casey Jones Village. Jackson is home to Lambuth University and three other colleges.

Recreation opportunities abound with many local and state parks, a recreation center and a major sports complex. Visit Main Street Historic District, Shiloh battlefield or travel along the Natchez Trace. Spend some time on one or more of the many area lakes where fishing is great or shop at the many antique shops. From ancient Indian mounds to museums and mansions, the choices are numerous.
