The Knoxville Museum of Art is one of America's newest art museums and
a dynamic cultural institution. KMA's mission is to serve as the
primary visual arts resource for the diverse communities of East
Tennessee. Annually, more than 100,000 guests from nearly every state
and many foreign countries are drawn to the multiple opportunities
available at KMA.
World-Class Exhibitions
Traveling exhibitions as well as works from KMA's permanent collection
are on display throughout the year. Since 1990, KMA curators have
brought an average of 20 exhibitions a year to the beautiful galleries
in the state-of-the-art architectural landmark designed by the renowned
Edward Larrabee Barnes.
